On Wed Apr 29, Jo Peshek said to Miss Kitty:
-JP>Ollie (twenty years ago) was like that, terrified of
-JP>children, not because of abuse or anything, but just like
-JP>yours. The Swarm is intensely interested in the strange
-JP>smells children carry with them (adult smells too), so
-JP>they don't flee at the approach of a stranger, large or
-JP>small. They swiftly close-in for the sniff. ;>
It's been open window season finally, and I had the window (yes, just one
window in my apartment) open yesterday. There were a couple of kids out on
the front lawn, and Squeaker was on the windowsill, so the kids came over to
say hi. Squeaker got all upset and started hissing at them and swiping at the
screen with her claws out. I don't know what got into her. She usually goes
and hides when I have visitors, but I haven't seen her act like that except
when she gets cornered by someone.
