Hi Vicki!
-=> Quoting Vicki Oldfather to Wendy Buchanan <=-
WB> I'm so jealous I'm turning bright green! Tom won't be too
WB> happy about this as green is his least favorite color...
VO> Well, cut it out, you can't be making Tom upset with me. :)
OK, I'll just be happy for you instead. How's that?
VO> Exactly. You learn patience very quickly. You don't visit there
VO> unless you have a purpose in mind, and stick to that purpose. Because
VO> it's so close, I can go anytime. Of course all those distances were
VO> pre-flood, and now lots of them take a lot longer to get to. :(
Oh, I hate the thought of a flood. After the big one we had here
in 1986, when the town was cut in two and there was 8 feet of
river on a lot of town, we haven't been able to watch it rain
for more than a day or two without getting quite antsy!
Lots of people lost a lot, and there have been so many other
floods in other places since then. I hate the thought! It
does a lot of damage for something as "simple" as water.
Is it back to normal there now? Since we had cable disconnected
we don't get the weather channel, and I'm always missing the news
so I don't hear about things like I used to.
LadyBear hugs,
Wendy
