OK.  CTBIOS.EXE - easy to find with a Google search.

Of course, running the program requires that machine at least be able to
boot to a FDD.  If it gets video but won't boot,  one can copy down the
BIOS string which appears onscreen during POST, and go to a place like
www.wimsbios.com and look up the code for the manufacturer.
