X-Jack AFAIK is a socket for the RJ11 (or RJ12) cable that connects
vertically into an extention of the end of the card. The advantage being
that the card doesn't have to take up two slot spaces just to allow the
normal phone cable to be inserted. The other option is a special dongle
cable on some PCMCIA modem cards and that ALWAYS gets lost !
So in short X-Jack is a good thing, purely mechanical, you don't have to
worry about OS/2 compatibility or anything.
