Hi Harry,
Six months or so back I finally bought a pair of 800VA Blazer UPSes to
cover four systems, after having major damage to disks caused by outages.
They run in-line continuously filtering and conditioning the power
outputs. Included monitoring software runs under both Windoze and Linux,
although not OS/2-eCS [yet anyway, but that project's on the back
burner]. The battery status and current capacity are continuously
available, even remotely via the LAN, so I can recommend them. Here they
were AU$219.00
at the time. It was nice to see the room illuminated solely by the CRTs
when the first post-UPS outage occurred! The software also logs all
events and one minute readings of voltages/battery state/temperature etc.
