The post I am replying to was dated back to December, so I hope you all
remember back that far!
We have tall enough ceilings that we can jumprope in the house, or use
one of those mini-tramps. We also have a large trampoline outside, it
has to be extremely cold or icy/frozen before the kids won't jump in the
winter time or when it's cold. The darlings even shed their shoes to
jump! For our family,it was a great investment. The kids are on it most
everyday, and we are going on our second year with it.
During the winter the kids also rollerblade in the house, or we light
the woodstove in the barn and they skate in there or play ball. One
"fun" thing to do is; we are able to buy nice records for dimes and
nickles at library sales. Classicals, musicals and such. We'll put
them on a record player in the barn or house and we dance while we
listen to the music. Pretend ballet seems to be the best liked choice
of movements. We do leaps and such.
Ever notice that it's "Mom it's to cold to pick up the yard/haul
wood/fetch goods from the barn/feed the animals/etc" but it's not to
cold to play outside? . Love those kids!
