Well, I have a CDROM x4 from an IBM system connected to my A1200, but what
I did was get a IDE cable with a 2x2.5" IDE connectors [for the
motherboard+the 2.5" HD in the 1200] and 1x3.5" IDE connector for
the CDROM. I can say for a fact that once I set the software up, it works
perfectly for me.
