JH> BO> Oh, I have plenty of OS/2 C compilers, but I am still looking for an
JH> BO> effective OS/2 Pascal compiler. I have not given up the search.

JH>I have not tried any OS/2 Pascal products but I will be using an Extended
JH>Pascal OS/2 compiler next month from somewhere.

JH>An advertisement in The Pascal Magazine, Issue 4 (December 1994/January 1995)
JH>identifies a GNU Pascal called GPC from the Free Software Foundation. To
JH>compile the GPC you need one of the GNU C/C++ compilers. Then you use the
JH>GPC alone to create OS/2 applications. GPC already supports most of the
JH>original Pascal standard and a large subset of the new Extended Pascal
JH>standard. GPC can generate code on any computer for which the GNU C compiler
JH>is available. For more information, you may contact the compiler's author,
JH>Juki, by email at jtv{at}hut.fi.

I heard about that one, but I understood that it was more of a Pascal
to C converter and I am really not interested in that route. Of course
if it was the only game in town, then that's another story.

JH>There is an Extended Pascal 32-bit Edition from Prospero Software Ltd.
JH>190 Castelnau, London SW13 9DH, UK. Tel.: +44 (0) 181 741 8531. Fax: 0181
JH>748 9344. Email: tpm4info{at}prospero.demon.co.uk
JH>Tony Hetherington works for Prospero and is a possible contact.

JH>Here is a price list of Pascal compilers available from Grey Matter, +44
JH>(0364) 654100. Prices are in British Sterling. One Sterling is around $1.50
JH>in US. Value Added Tax (VAT) and shipping outside UK not included.
JH> Price
JH>Borland Pascal with Objects 7.0 250
JH>Power System + Pascal 140
JH>Power System + Pascal PDS 270
JH>Power System Pascal Liberator 210
JH>Prospero Extended Pascal 180
JH>Prospero Extended Pascal 32-bit (OS/2) CALL
JH>Prospero Pascal (DOS) 145
JH>Prospero Pascal (DOS&OS/2) 195
JH>Prospero PC Pascal 55
JH>Stony Brook Pascal+ 300
JH>Topspeed Pascal Professional 3.1 169
JH>Turbo Pascal 7.0 84
JH>Turbo Pascal for Windows 1.5 99
JH>SVS C3 Pascal (386) 325

I think some of the above are Dos only, and I have Borland's
Turbo Pascal for Dos. Some of the others look very interesting
and I thank you for supplying me with such a detailed list.
