NASA will survive, and handsomely.  You guys are just not proper Bush
bureaucrats.  Here are the real priorities - in normal, not Letterman
order:

1. Protect members of the Bush-Cheney cabal from any random shrapnel.

2. Make sure no really senior NASA management heads roll.

3. Expand the subcontracting, if possible, and make NASA itself a complete shell.

4. Make sure those subcontractors are all Sunbelt, and majority Texas.

5. Blame it all on a tree-hugging change in booster insulation.

6. Liberally mention "freedom."

7. Tie preserving NASA to fighting terrorism.

8. At every step test the apathy and ignorance of the American voter, a
figure that so far seems nearly infinitely high.

9. In the process of "full disclosure" locate and terminate all
whistle-blowers.

10. Replace all scientists with Creationists.
