Hi Kathy,
KN> dog, a female shepherd, tht I obtained from the Seeing Eye in 1967
KN> growled at a couple of guys I went out with. Usually, she liked my
KN> dates, but she just did not like these two guys. She turned out to
KN> be rite, they were both jerks! bye for now!
It sounds like something I experienced with my good friend Frank who also
had a guide dog. He got his from the guide dog school in Columbus, Ohio.
Anyway, I met Frank and his guide Colonel at a camp for the blind here in
Wyoming. When I first met both of them, Colonel and I got along just
fine, we became friends right away. A couple of years had passed between
the time I had seen Frank and Colonel and I went up to this camp again,
and they were both there. I was so happy to see Frank and went to give
him a hug. Colonel would not let me hear Frank and he barked a couple of
times. Frank had to assure his dog that I wouldn't hurt him [Frank].
Well, thank goodness he seemed to remember me because I never would have
had a chance to spend any time with my friend . Take care.
