It seemed so much easier installing the beta after having made an install
disk set from the PDK CD...

A bloody dashboard, and/or steering wheel or somesuch rubbish fills the
screen, and creates havoc when trying to install in the background and run
something else in the foreground.

    INSTALLING A ZORTECH PRODUCT

Symantec pretends its really installing Microsoft Windows and fills the PM
screen with a dithered blue number with a bit of a slip and some icons.
End result? Absolutely no getting away from the install while it's
happening.

Install does its thang and lets you do yours. Like life *should* be, and
just like IBM says is a "Good Thing" in its developer
documentation.

Happened to me with WordPerfect 5.2 for OS/2 (numerous times) when trying
to run the spell checker, thesaurus or grammar checker; something about
not having any more swap space (!!).

Ain't computing fun? ;-)
