The actual figure was lower, and represented eligible voters. That's
my understanding, anyway. The conclusion that was drawn, however, was
180 degrees off the mark.

That does appear to be the case. Some moderates were lost, but imo the
organization is the stronger for increasing the number, as a
percentage, of active second amendment supporters.
