The latter. :) What I meant to say is that you don't need the cooperation
of the victim program. Writing two device drivers would be almost as big of
a headache, and would occupy some of the 640k.

(If I recall correctly, _all_ device drivers were mixed mode in OS/2 1.x, right?)
