Analog answering machine caused the troubles; I removed it from the telephone 
line and doing 3300+ cps now ;-)

Fax recieving works okay. Haven't tried sending one, though...

Have you received Trio Datafax with your Elite? I've only received ZFAX with 
the Elite, but I am looking for a food voice/fax/data program that runs under 
Windows...

Serial port fossil. I use the ZFAX included ZFOSSIL now. Works okay.

I changed the DATA shell-out batch file to send an ATZ4 and reboot the 
computer after shelling out of RA back to ZFAX. Dirty work, but it does the 
job...

Same here; modem does not respond after data shell-out and after local msg
recording. Looks like they have to fix these two in further releases...
