That's normal. As I said in my previous message, &V is a command for
Rockwell-chipset-based modems. As far as I know, USR has always used I4
and I5.
You should check that not-saving problem with the USR technical support.
I don't know that modem but I really believe that it should be able to
save the settings to the NVRAM. Which tests have you done for being sure
that the problem actually exist?
