In the 70s, I routinely remember concerts starting late, 30-45 min. or
more.  In the last 10 years, every concert I've been to has started
within a couple of minutes of the advertised time.  Maybe the promoters
have more clout than they used to or maybe the performers are starting
to respect their audience.
