I'm still using my S1590, previously used for OS/2, with Linux, K6/2-550
& 256M RAM. For a while I ran a K6/3+, but it got flaky, and going back
to the K6/2 solved that problem.

Sell the S1590 to me please. :-)

Matrox G4 supports 4X AGP. Doesn't G200?

Plenty of previous threads covering the subject generally, but the
general rule is:

Unless someone else played guinea pig with a particular motherboard/OS2
combo you are considering, avoid VIA chipsets, and prefer Intel
chipsets. This is no guarantee. It merely reduces the odds you will have
any sort of hardware or BIOS related problem. Personally, I plan never
again to buy either VIA or Soyo. Soyo customer service is among the
worst anyone I know ever had to deal with.
