    I've been keeping quiet about this thread hoping it would die, but you
just made it quite obvious that you know nothing about protected mode, and
I'm afraid that an uninformed reader might start believing you. I'd be
quite interested in seeing code to support your claims since descriptor
tables aren't accessible in ring 3. If you can't, please stop these claims
until you can.
