You're right about it being Pascal. (They'd hacked out the original
copyright in the executable, so I can't swear it's Borland .. but it "feels"
like Borland.)
I was thinking (and said in my first message) that it was C, since so many
executables these days are ..
Didn't notice the order of function parameters, and even missed the most
obvious tip-off that it was Pascal: things like "retf 8" :-)
It's curious to get responses today .. right after I've sent off my
disassembly message. Especially from the chap who was so pleased with his
faster computer (in Windows anyway) :-)
Kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy .. or more appropriately, a software
placebo :-)
