SD>Does anyone use Charlotte Mason method. I have been researching it for
SD>some time and it seems to really speak to my heart. I would like to
SD>get some opinions on it.
I have her 6 volume series on THE ORIGINAL HOMESCHOOLING SERIES, got it
from CONSERATIVE BOOKS, either free, or a reduced price (maybe $8-$9.00)
to join the club. Heavy books to read (not heavy in weight, but
thoughts ). Mine are pen marked with underlinings and other notes I
have written on the margins. I tend to do that with my books .
I guess I don't use any of her "methods" per se but some of her ideas
made me stop and think. Ever read any of Raymond Moore or Ruth
Beechick's books? They also make one stop and think.
Alot of the Homeschooling "pioneers" all tell about taking time to get
to know your kids, suit learning to the child and not others views of
that child, use love and seek God's ways.
I liked Masons views of using walks to teach so many things. I hope you
can find some of her books (if you haven't already) and read them.
