If Mike were talking about 30-pin SIMMs that might be more likely, but
eight 1-bit chips would only store 1 byte per word, instead of the four I
would expect to see on a normal 72-pin SIMM. I think it's more likely that
they're eight 4-bit wide chips, providing a 32-bit word.
