By law they have to hold the job for 4 years. I think Jeff is incorrect
about 5 years. But maybe the law has changed, I know when I went in to the
Air Force in '71 it was 4 years before I had to return to Illinois Bell,
otherwise I wouldn't be guaranteed my job and I would lose my seniority.
