I could not port a 16 bit dos/windows pascal record into delphi2 without
getting the record elements to line up unless PACKED was used. Otherwise the
delphi2 compiler spreads the record elements out in increments of 4 bytes (32
bits). ie a variable of type REAL doesn't take up 6 bytes in an unpacked
record it takes up 8.
