Ulcers are now known to be caused by a bacterial infection in most cases, and
the right antibiotic takes care of it. And for other things like gastric
reflux, there are some pretty good medications now (I'm taking Prevacid).
As for the rest of what you described, Cora's attachment to her father and
fearfulness are (in my layman's opinion) not like any symptoms of AD(H)D that
I can think of; but much of the rest is, both in Cora and in her mother.
