Any lamp rated at the voltage difference between my trasformer 
and the cell with a current rating of 1/10th C which is the charge rate
for pretty much all but fast rechargables that use sophisticated 
electronics. Works well for me. Buy the lamps at radio shack.
For the 5,000 M.A. cells you mention in another post a suitable lamp 
would be one that draws 500 M.A.'s which is 1/10th C and whose
volage is the difference between the transformer and load
