	Er, from what I recall of what I read is that that there was 
a *delay* against the domestic law against the CFC-12 manufacture because
of this reason, and that Du Pont (which had the overwhelming market share
at the time) was coincidentally given the opportunity to build up stocks.
Du Pont has no insignificant influence in Delaware.
	The CFC-ozone problem was also discovered in the '70s.  The 
holder of the patent for CFCs in spray cans was none other than Robert
Ablanap (sp?) who was in tight with Richard Nixon, to put it mildly.

	And hefty campaign contributions together with personal 
friendship with a President shown to be corrupt in many other ways
never had political influence in American history, ayup.
