I never would have guessed that Pulse would slow Dive like that. Another
observation for you. While running the Dive demo and Pulse, I opened up
DOS's EDIT to reply to your message. It stopped Dive dead in its tracks.
Wouldn't render a frame. After I closed Pulse, Dive was still frozen.
Then while writing this reply (actually the first copy of this reply), Dive
started up again and then froze when I hit a key. Then my system locked
and I had to reboot. Not fun. Sometimes I wonder just how stable OS/2
really is. I know Windows isn't stable, but DOS has never randomly locked
up on me.. Hmmm.....

You might try ATI's BBS and see if they have a newer Mach32 driver than the
one you have. The Mach 64 drivers are working fine for me. Unless they
are the reason for the above mentioned crash.. Double Hmmm......

Anyone else have Dive experiences? Any good pointers on setting a palette?
It appears that you still have to fight Gpi for a palette, although DIVE
does some automattic remapping. I haven't started any serious DIVE work
yet, but I will in a week or so.

Later,
Michael Duffy
