-> I'm kinda glad. I don't like to push homeschooling on people (you ne

I don't like to push things on people either, but if they ask I let
them know what I think. I had a friend ask me about homeschooling the
other day and I told her that she could do it if she wanted to and I let
her know what I did. She just wasn't satisfied with the public school
system and wanted to look at all of her options. I will probably talk
more to her about it and I'm trying to think of a good book or tapes
that she could use to really find out more about it, but she is not a
Christian and I'm finding it hard to locate something that isn't
strongly bible oriented.
->
-> I wouldn't mind more support from a district like this, but then agai
-> hate people butting in so I may find this a little too restrictive.
I find that they aren't at all restrictive. The teachers are great
and make a point to let us know that they are just a resource center to
assist us with our homeschooling and they don't at all want to interfere
with what we are trying to accomplish with our children. I've been told
that if I don't like them being involved somewhere then just tell them
to but out. I can take what they suggest and use it or just ignore it
if it doesn't agree with my way of thinking. So far the program has
been very helpful. They have gotten my daughter involved with writing
reports on the internet which is a place where I am completely in the
dark. They help out with things that I don't feel real comfortable
with. They really keep my daughters interest up and therefore make my
job a little easier. She is now excited about learning. I still have
to lead her through everything, but because she is still so young I'm
willing to accept that for now. She may be quite ahead academically,
but she is still very young and I always have to try and keep that in
mind when I deal with her. I always have to remind myself that she is
only six and still needs a lot of help from us.
