While tripping merrily through the mail, John DeMott was overheard
 JD> Hello All!
JD> Just found some 45 RPM records from the 60's & 70's. Worth anything?
From the 60's & 70's, in VG+ condition a collector would probably be willing
to go a buck or two if they're something he's looking for. If you have
the original picture sleeves then they'd probably go for closer to five.
In "good" condition, maybe a quarter at a rummage sale.
Early 60's may go for more, and certain artists (i.e. Elvis & The Beatles)
if they're ORIGINAL and not reissues can command higher prices, but it
depends on what you have.
I've also seen VERY wide variations in price between different areas of the
country, records I find here in the upper midwest for a buck going for
five times that in Southern California for example.
I doubt if you'd have much success taking them to a dealer unless they're
VG+ with the original sleeves, but it doesn't cost anything to ask.
If you wanna post (or email) a list of half a dozen or so (artist, title
{bothsides}, lable and record number) I could research them and give you
some "ballpark" numbers of what you may be able to expect.
