Hi All.

My dealer has just given up on ASUS. He recently got a box of boards from
them, supposedly their latest and greatest, 533 something or other...

Anyway, he paid nearly double for the special high speed RAM they needed,
and the first two I assembled for him randomly go to 'blue screen' mode.

During his conversation with ASUS Tech support, they told him, "yes,
those boards don't work at 333 FSB, just go into CMOS and underclock them
to 266".

I would have more details, but I was making a concerted effort to avoid
listening to EVERYTHING he was saying, as it wasn't fit even for my ancient
ears!

That was just the straw that broke the camel's back. These boards come
with three RAM slots, and are advertised as "Up to 1G of RAM..."
Of course when you get into the manual, you can't use the third RAM slot
unless the second slot has double-sided sticks, and the RAM that would be
needed to get 1G from only the first two slots is not yet available, it
hasn't been manufactured yet!

I'll try to get the numbers off the boxes when I pack them up for return!

     Good luck... M.
