It's common practice in this area to add aquarium salt in those proportions. 
We
run 40 20 gal. tanks for tropicals here and a few 55's. Every one of them has
salt including all the ones that the plants are kept in with no problems.

running this way for nearly 8 yrs. now with no ill effects. We do tell people
to make sure to measure everything and to make sure it's not the iodized 
able
salt. Some tanks, like ther feeder comets, get a little extra salt. Maybe
they'd do ok without the added salt; but it works for us.
