Missed appending the following bit:

Step 6

Save and exit the BIOS setup. You should be able to boot up with you USB 
device.

The partial screenshot of the Award BIOS was one that showed 
Copyright(C) 1984-2002 Award .....
and under the "Advanced BIOS Features", the "First Boot
Device" list had 
visible:

HDD-3
ZIP
USB-FDD
USB-ZIP
USB-CDROM
USB-HDD
LAN
Disabled

with other otions scrolled off top of screen.
