 Good point about it being a disposable product, though as anyone would 
 tell you it's nearly always the tape transport and heads etc..never any
 of the circuitry (well not as far as I know anyway) - hey what about the
 possibility of a nice lil make your own VCR from spare parts found in
 other's that the transport has done a runner? :) hehehe
