AFAIK there's very few All-in-ones that have OS/2 drivers ! Of course this would probably be print-only and the scanning function would be a separate problem. > > At present this machine is serving merely as a standalone FAX/copier > (except when I hook the notebook computer running Windows to it) and is > located too far away from any of our computers to connect by USB cable. > I will certainly relocate the machine temporarily to verify that it > works with a USB cable and the available driver, but I am wondering what > would be the best method of connecting it permanently. When something say's it's Windows-Only, this usually means it's a "Host printer" aka "Win-Printer" it relies on running a Win32 program on the PC to control everything rather than doing it in it's own processor. These printer will normally not work with OS/2 or Linux. The "old" HP Jetdirect, used to work with OS/2 but these were the parrallel / serial port versions not the USB ones. > > 3.
