Oh yes I can just see Iran campaigning for Saddam to remain.

What I've seen is stuff saying "get rid of Saddam just don't get rid
of 100,000 innocent Iraqi's at the same time".

If UK troops capture Saddam I think he should be handed over to the
Iranians. For one thing that would keep the Texans happy as Texas &
Iran are both top contenders for the game of "How many can you
execute".
