AM> So why can't I just leave the .scd file and have 1 call to
 AM> btp??

Because it will usually be a new day and thus it will exit at the start of
the event, so you need 2 calls. It is more likely to be 2 calls required
than 1. I just make sure that it is always 2!

PE> No, Public Only means that if you enter a message locally
PE> (or with QWK) that the attribute will be stripped.
PE> However, incoming echomail needs the "StripAttributes" in
PE> squish.cfg to delete the PVT flag.

AM> What's wrong with the pvt flag being there?

Maximus won't stick it into your QWK packet.

PE> Every time mail comes into my system, it gets processed.
PE> Mail comes into my system from all my points (anytime at
PE> all), Dave (once a day at about 6.45 am), and a guy from
PE> Melbourne (about once a week, at any time). BFN.

AM> I see, it's just the mail from the other points being
AM> packed. So squish _adds_ their mail to the bundle, each
AM> time mail is added? This would also go for qwkers too (i.e.
AM> the mail they upload gets added to my packet)? Doesn't that

Yes for points, no for qwkers. Qwkers (and my messages) only get scanned
just before I poll Dave.

AM> mean it has to decompress my packet and everyone elses who
AM> is on the same tagged echos, add the mail from the last
AM> upload (point and/or qwk?) and then recompress it? For any

All the archivers allow you to add new files to the archive without having
to decompress it. The mailprocessor will always call the new file it puts
in the mail bundle by a new name (usually based on the timestamp).

AM> and all points every time mail is added? This doesn't sound
 AM> right...

It is right. BFN.
