Hi Doug,
DD> Don't get a chance to participate in this conference like I would
 DD> like.
I know the feeling. Most days I just read thru quickly, most week ends
I'm doing good to even get near the computer. It's gotten even more
hectic this past month since Steve came home; his new position requires
more "social" events so we're out and about more.
DD> Have you made anything out of the Bible cover idea? If you have been
DD> as busy as I have then I would guess not :-)
In all honesty, I've been rather busy the last few months. I was
knocked off Fido in mid August when lightning hit the building where the
guy we pointed from lived. His system fried and it took me a few months
to get reconnected thru someone else. In that time, my sewing business
took a major upswing so I barely had time to check for new e-mail from
Korea. After that slacked off, I was sick for a couple of months during
the winter. For Christmas, my older daughter's boyfriend gave her a big
(1/2 carat) diamond ring and they decided to get married in June. She
asked me to make 5 dresses so that is my big project now. After that is
over, I promise, I will look over the Bible cover and see what (if any)
suggestions I can make for improvement.
DD> I have been toying around with them whenever I have a few spare
DD> minutes. Keep coming up with new ideas.
I don't think there's a thing in the world that can't be improved on in
some way or another. For the dresses I'm making for Rachel's wedding,
the pattern called for buttons down the back. Well, I'm putting a
zipper in, instead--saves time and my patience. Rachel's dress will
have working buttons over the zipper but the rest of them (down to the
bow) will be for pretty only. I'm using McCall's #6951 view A for
Rachel, view B for the other girls if you want to check it out. The
pattern shows view B in about the same color as we are using for the
bridesmaids; the maid of honor will be in a dusty rose.
It's good hearing from you again; sorry I hadn't gotten back with you
but life has a way of getting in the way of itself sometimes. (G)
Catch you later,
Ruth
