Half right Gordon - read inserts :-

Not to the driver directly but rather to the MPTS program to change the
file Protocol.ini that
is read by the driver at boot-up time.

The NIF file contains the available parameters, any default values, an
usuallly a short help
text about the field.

To install a new .OS2 and .NIF file, go to the command prompt - type MPTS
(or start it from the
WPS), select Install on the first screen, point the program to the
directory where the files are
located. Once installed you will go onto the cofiguration screen, where you
will be able to
select this driver from the list of cards available and then select the
protocols you require to
run via the card - eg TCPIP NETBIOS etc. then when you go into edit for the
card, you can set all
of the parameters as you wish to have them. Usually the only parameter of
note, if this is an old
card, is the IRQ to use.

No - there's no /parameters at run time - all hardware parameters need to
be defined via MPTS as
stated above.

If you're trying to configure TCPIP, then once you have the card installed
with the TCPIP
protocol, reboot the system and then run TCPCFG2 from the command line to
set your TCPIP
parameters and services.
