Mind you any Hortas beamed aboard would have to be volunteers, they are 
people after all and I think a mission like that would be a suicide mission
for the Horta in question. I wonder if there are any Hortas in Starfleet -
I would like to see one!! 
What would be interesting would be if they beamed one tribble over to the 
Borg cube.... I don't think they are sentient so there wouldn't be the 
problem of consent and the Borg would ignore them initially because they 
don't appear to be a threat and they aren't sentient anyway.
