subject: Setting up dual boot

Hello Steve...
Just curious...
SM> FH> Dos must be on the primary bootable partition on the first hard
SM> FH> drive, (0)(C:). The OS/2 can be anywhere. Here it is the first
SM> FH> bootable partition on the second hard drive. (1)(F:). And F: is
SM> FH> formatted as HPFS. The os2 boot partition must be set up using
SM> FH> the OS/2 FDISK. Also, room must be made on the first hard disk
SM> FH> for the Boot-Manager partition.
SM>What you have described is a system using Boot Manager. The original
SM>statement was regarding Dual Boot, an entirely different animal - Dual
oot
SM>and Boot Manager are not the same thing!
DOS 6.22 has a setup for multiple configurations prior to executing the
Config.sys and Autoexec.bat which will allow different setups depending
upon the menu item selected. Would it be possible to make one of those
selections OS/2 boot-up files.
An example:
My D: drive is set up for OS/2 (figurtively) and my C: drive is set up
for DOS. When I boot, I get the menu asking which setup I wish to
execute. If I press D:drive, could I boot up with OS/2??
