    Know of any all-volunteer public schools (other than magnet schools, 
etc.)?  Kids don't choose to go to school, other than to attend certain 
schools.  That's the difference.

    Neither do I.
    I just posted the Midwest example as an example of how school-uniform 
proponents are not satisfied with just regulating clothes, and how the same 
school-uniform proponents who said uniforms would eliminate gangs are now 
saying otherwise.
