Diet, as far we know of today, in the case of children with ADD or ADHD
works only on those children from families with a history of alcoholism.
The dietary supplement developed by Dr. Terry Neher was done in joint
research with Kenneth Blume down in Texas a few years back.  The
supplement was originally developed for genetic alcoholics, then later
on it was discovered that it works much BETTER THAN RITALIN in the 30%
of children with the genetic alcoholism.
There was also a TV special a few days back about a woman who has
adopted a child with Down's syndrome, is feeding her a special
nutritional formula, and has managed to PREVENT MENTAL RETARDATION in
this child!
I think it is long past time that other parents listen on the subject of
remedial diets.
And the subject of with holding all foods with sugar in them from some
children.
