 Amfony,

AM> What am I doing wrong? I sit in front of a PC at least 50% of my
AM> time at work, but haven't got anywhere near a leisurely hour or more
 AM> to spend reading mail!
AM> So in other words, you are being _seen_ to be working, despite the
AM> fact that you aren't, as opposed to just going home at a reasonable
 AM> time?

Don't get me wrong - I work my little tush off, and before I was having
a somewhat regular lunchbreak, I was really stressed out, had
 headaches, got crook etc.

Now I gave a complete 30min break, whether I go for a walk, read mail,
 it doesn't matter.

The advantage of reading BBS Mail is that, like you said, you appear
to be working for the benefit of the company, rather than reading the
local rag, & even though it is ones lunchbreak, it could be
misconstrued that you are slacking off if you are reading the paper,
especially if ones break happens to fall outside of the normal 12-1
break (as it usually does !). Mine start anywhere between 12 & 2.00
 (like today!).

So either read the BBS Mail, or get out of the building altogether.

DM> Besides, the insanity on AV_Tech makes me realise that the
DM> real world aint so bad after all :-)

AM> You could make a solid case that you are retreating from real life to
AM> the madness of AVT to get your fix! Junkie exposed!

 :-))
