  No: I wont pay to have it fixed. Yes: Netcomm have a fixed price for
fixing them $350 (cheap!). Can it be fixed: don't know, I didn't pursue
electronics beyond the home audio kit-building/repairing stage. 
 
 I (accidentally) turned the computer off at a kambrook power-board when
the modem was on.
