Yup, Mitsushita CR-563 which is identical to the Panasonic
 563.

I'm trashing it tomorrow. Going to install from
the old release CD and using some of the automated
setup tools there setup my hardware all of which is supported
in that release, save the relavent video config, ect. files
for reference and than reinstall 8.1

I'm familiar with the Slackware 1.1.59 C compiler.

CA> Steven Darnold would be the person to ask.

I'll be hacking Linux on my own for a time as a learning
experience but have already discovered plugging error
messages as keywords and such into a search engine
finds solutions already solved by someone else.

Man don't you know it.

CA> BasicLinux might have the edge for you in that case. BasicLinux
CA> can be installed to FAT partions if I remember correctly?

I've installed it onto my hard drive so it's no longer a ramdrive,
it sits on /dev/hda2, 8.1 sits on hda4 and hda3 is a swap
they share.

WC> Hey, how do you feel about 1 meg. .wav file attaches as

 CA> A 100k MP3 would be more practical?

I had a DOS MP3 player with utilities but the dang thing
paused a second for every second it played on this 486 , perhaps
if I'd increased the buffers on the SoundBlaster?
It really is an incredibly funny tune, perhaps I'll
look for that MP3 player on the net again and try to
 convert it for you.

WC> I already sent Steven an e-mail thanking him for his

Slickest install I've ever seen. 8.1 was a snap.
Perhaps if we're to continue we should move to the
Linux echo?
