Sorry to burst your bubble here, but I personally did have a fully
compressed zip file transferred to me at a little over 4400 cps... that
was compressed using the -EX command... so... anyone could see that the
superiority of the USR Courier (especially when both ends are using
them) shine through the theoretical and push the limits of technology.
Just as a sideline... I spoke with the Sysop of this particular BBS and
both his log file and my log file confirmed the transfer rate.
