EG> I understand the part of the object windows, but what do EG> they mean with the ``C run-time library functions?'' Ever heard about strstr(), strcpy(), strdup()...? Whenever your module has an include of C-Library headers, you're probably using C-library functions. The OS/2 API include doesn't count, it's not a C library function. You should look up the C/C++ Reference or Guide there is a nice explanation when and why to use _beginthread(). As a rule of thumb: You should use the _beginthread() function whenever you write C code, except when writing Device Drivers.
