I don't pipe the data. As I said earlier, I want to write several copies
of my DVDs. If I
had to run MKISOFS2 everytime, that would waste time.

I've only been using 7200RPM drives for the last 5 years. It's a simple and cost
effective way to improve system performance, irrespective of OS in use,
7200 RPM simply
supplies the data quicker. I'd like to go to 10,000 RPM probably on the
next system as the
prices are coming down of 10KRPM drives.
