12358cff862c tech Hello Jean - CA>> Yes, the C64 BASIC was widely used for many things. JP> You are aware that Commodore was a Canadian company ? JP> Started in Toronto as a cash register manufacturer. I still JP> have a filing cabinet with the bic C= on it. That is all JP> that I have left with that logo. If I was ever told I had forgotten. I live within 10-20 minutes of Canada via either the tunnel or the bridge. Oulette is the continuation of Detroit's Woodward (to me) on the other side of the Detroit river. I've not been encouraged to think of Canada as any less than the USA and see no reason for any company to _not_ be Canadian. :-) CA>> It is logical. Sad thing is Microsoft did a poor job CA>> marketing their full sized BASIC compiler. I'm not CA>> referring to QuickBASIC here I mean the REAL BASIC CA>> compiler. JP> You should see my daughter's fingers when she does net JP> sites for clients. She uses a compiler that is very fast JP> and her system is not that performing, 333 MHz. You can not JP> see her fingers. ;-) I think she uses CC+ (?). You daughter does websites too? Neat. My #3 daughter does that for a living (www.undercoverdesign.com is her company). I have a friend who co-authored TAG BBS software who has long fingers like the actor who did the first B&W "Invisible Man" movie. He does not curl his fingers when he types but keeps his hands straight. He would type for a few seconds at the computer then turn and speak with me while the computer tried to catch up to him. His fingers were a blurr when typing. Almost a distraction to watch and have a conversation. He became one of the lead programmers at Oracle and is now a consultant. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich - DOS Ghost \o , > __o/ > / > www.undercoverdesign.com/dosghost/faf/ < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
