This is not the problem. There is no download manager window for pdf 
downloads. This worked until a few days ago, now I just get a blank 
window. Changing the helper apllication does not have any effect.
Might have to reinstall Mozilla and recreate the user profile.
I must add that living with Mozilla is sometimes frustrating. I can name 
several websites - some of them even from EU authorities - that can not 
be accessed with Mozilla because of sloppy programming that somehow goes 
through with Internet Explorer but makes Mozilla get stuck. What can we 
do if those webmasters ignore the problem because there is not really a 
problem for them because most people use IE anyway?
